Junior's Cricket
Our Junior Cricket Team is all about fun, learning, and teamwork! Open to boys and girls of all skill levels, we focus on building confidence, developing cricket skills, and most importantly - enjoying the game. With supportive coaches and a great team spirit, players learn how to play fair, work together, and grow both on and off the pitch. Whether you're dreaming of hitting sixes or taking wickets, this is the perfect place to start your cricket journey!
Our junior program will commence in early September, with training sessions held each Wednesday evening.
Matches will be played on Saturday mornings throughout the season. New players of all experience levels are welcome to join. For those who do not yet have their own equipment, the club has a range of equipment available to borrow, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to participate and enjoy the game.

Junior Teams
The waurn ponds deakin cricket club feilds two junior cricket teams. A under 11's side and a under 13's side.
Is an introduction to junior cricket in a supportive and inclusive club environment. Slightly modified rules and shorter formats maximise involvement, giving every player the chance to bat, bowl and field regularly. The focus is on learning the basics, building confidence and developing a connection to the game.
As skills grow, the game becomes more structured and competitive. Formats evolve with longer matches, more traditional rules and clearer individual roles, while still supporting participation and development. Players experience teamwork, game awareness and healthy competition.
From first games through to competitive matches, junior club cricket provides a clear, supportive pathway for every young player to grow in confidence, develop skills and feel part of their club community.

Woolworths Blast Cricket
Along with our under 11's and under 13's our club also participate in the woolies blast. this program is designed to teach boys and girls aged 5 to 10 the fundamental skills of cricket, such as catching, batting, and bowling, in a fun, safe and inclusive environment. This program is ran by our deticated club memeber share there skills and love for the game.
